THE BASICS
I am a 39-year-old white nonbinary disabled neuroqueer, writer, former textile artist, and care worker living on ancestral lands of the Muscogee Creek Nation. I live with three feral foster cats on an urban farm in a small community of artists, poets, activists and farmers in South Atlanta. I acknowledge the violence inherent in being a white person living on stolen land within a historically Black neighborhood, and an important part of my personal work is both holding this tension and working to reduce harm in every way I can.

PRACTICES
for better or worse, I grew up co-regulating on the internet and it has shaped me considerably. these days, I practice vulnerability and transparency by sharing my experiences and crowdsourcing feedback on instagram. these posts generate compassionate, non-judgmental discussion over ideas, language, social habits, and patterns. this practice is one of the best ways I know to explore ideas, process my experiences, and embrace the shame that prefers to be hidden.

online and offline, I am passionate about connecting people with resources and caring for my loved ones as we work to dismantle the oppressive systems in our selves, our relationships, and our lives. I honor these values by bringing people together in ways that are educational, celebratory, and mundane.
in college, I studied textiles and the language helped me understand myself so much more deeply. the first time I attempted to offer IRL space for casual self-inquiry through craft was with a mending party I had for my birthday in 2018. I then co-hosted a weekly craft night for all of 2019. in the fall of that year, I started a small (now decentralized) support group for non-monogamous folks that meets monthly. over the past couple years I have been hosting occasional co-working and support groups as personal need arises for things like tax preparation, digital housekeeping, applying for health insurance, and managing burnout in organizing spaces. in these years I have also done jail support work with the atlanta solidarity fund, as well as hosted various workshops in conjunction with the movement to defend the atlanta forest.
the care work practice I officially began in 2021 is the fruit that grew out of these disparate seeds of resistance, curiosity, and connection, and many of my clients have said that what I share online feels like an extension of our time together. my care work, my online presence, and everything I create in this world are parts of my revolutionary practice. it has been extremely important to me that I do not fragment myself in any of these areas for ease of consumption, convenience, or to perform professionality. I bring my entire self to my instagram page and I bring my entire self to my care work practice. I know that neither could exist otherwise.

BACKGROUND + TRAINING
I take my responsibility as a supporter seriously, and I have attended trainings through Project Lets and IDHA (institute for the development of human arts) on crisis response, grief, ancestral healing, and art therapy. I have also attended workshops on conflict de-escalation, people pleasing, running a private peer support practice, and the somatics of boundaries.

I have been in conversation with my mental health for over 20 years: self help, self inquiry, and reconciling the relationship with self are areas of special interest for me and I am constantly reading, listening, thinking, and writing about these concepts. I have tried and can discuss my experiences with a number of treatments, frameworks, and modalities. I consider myself a feral practitioner in that I have learned through experience, experimentation, and trial and error and believe my lack of institutional education in many of my greatest passions is a strength that keeps me curious and accessible.
I have been with my current therapist since 2015. her practice has been transformative and inspirational for me and I have her support in the work I do. I consult with her, my friend and licensed social worker Marcus Fleming, and my friend and fellow peer supporter Andrea Krakovsky when I need support, advice, or feedback on my practice.
